We want you to feel welcome and comfortable during your first visit on Sunday, so we’ve attempted to answer a few common questions. Here’s what you can expect on Sundays:

What happens on a Sunday?

Every Sunday, we sing songs together, we pray both privately and corporately, we hear the Bible preached, and we observe the Lord’s Supper on the 1st Sunday of each month. Each service is typically 90 minutes.

What kind of music do you play?

The music is played by a live band and worship team. Styles range from hymns to contemporary Christian music. Our worship teams represent different cultures and creative expressions. Our aim is to please God through worshiping Him.

Who can attend?

In observance of Chinese government regulations, Tianjin International Christian Fellowship and Tianjin Overseas Chinese Christian Fellowship services and related activities are only open to foreign passport holders or foreign residence permit holders. Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan nationals are also welcome to attend. You must show your passport to greeters before entering the church. Unfortunately, local Chinese citizens are not permitted to attend. Go here for a list of approved Three-Self Patriotic Movement churches local Chinese citizens can attend. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

When should I arrive?

Our Youyi English language service meets at 9:30 am on Sundays. The Youyi Chinese language meets at 10:00 am. We invite you to arrive a few minutes early to connect with some of our fellowship, get some coffee and get a good seat!

Where do we meet?

We are located inside the Tianjin city center core, on the 4th floor of the Friendship Building in the northwest corner of the intersection of Heiniucheng Dao and Youyi Lu in Tianjin China. You can download a taxi card for your phone here. You can access a Google map of the area and get directions from your departing location. You can also look up “Friendship Mansion” in your Didi app.

If you live in the TEDA area, we have a bus which travels from TEDA to our Youyi location.

What should I wear?

Most of us wear casual clothes at our services, although some of us dress up. We’d like to think you will be as comfortable in a T-shirt and jeans as you would be in a business suit.

Is there someone that can help get me get situated when I come to visit?

Yes. We know that coming to a new church for the first time can be intimidating. When you come for your visit, go to our Connect Table in the lobby and someone will help get you and your family where you need to be. Our team of dedicated volunteers will do everything they can to make sure you have the best experience possible. If you will be coming this Sunday, let us know and we will be ready to greet you.

Can I bring my kids?

Of course! We love kids and offer age-appropriate environments where your kids (Birth – 5th grade) will learn about Jesus and the Bible on their level during the Sunday morning services at Youyi. During the evening service, a nursery is available.
